Blue & Yellow make...GREEN!!!

Landon & Claire spent St. Patrick's Day at our house playing with the kids and riding quads.

We spent the morning reading, Green Eggs & Ham by Dr. Suess and learning about the color GREEN. We also did a little bit of marble painting.

Everytime I got ready to take a picture, Claire would stop what she was doing, look up and say, "CHE..EEEESE!"
The project was planned for Landon & Bethany. I had no idea that Claire would get into it as much as she did. Landon was so very patient with her while he was making his shamrock.

Landon was so excited when the paint turned into John Deere GREEN.

Claire had so much fun rolling the marbles (balls to her) back and forth through the paint. Her favorite part was when I painted her hands green. She handed me her right hand while I was painting her left. Aunt Angie was smart enough to only paint one hand at a time.

Introducing the...Diamond Jaxx!

Saturday was the opening ceremonies for the Sutter Area Little League. This year the league tried something new...team floats. Keagan's team, the Diamond Jaxx, built a float on the Don's Furniture Store flat bead delivery truck. All the floats were judged and prizes awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Keagan has a great team this year. His team consists of his 2 best friends, 2 boys from school, & 3 boys from church. His coaches are Don Applegarth (Dad of Keagan's best friend), Jerry Handy (a classmate of Brian's) and Dad. Practices are held at our neighbors ball field. For the past 5 years our yard turns into the local park from March until June. This year there are 4 teams using the field Monday-Friday afternoons. Each and every ball season our kids look forward to seeing the same friends (and meet some new ones) return year after year. It's a busy time, but the memories are great!

A weekened visit to Napa!

The kids and I traveled to Napa 2 weeks ago while Brian was pulling a 5-day shift at the firehouse. Justice had been asking for Keagan to come sleep at his house since before Christmas, but between the busy schedules of both families and repeated illnesses it seemed as though we were never going to make it. It was both a joy and a privileged to have spent the weekend with my brother and his family. The kids all get along so well. There were so many fun pictures of our time so I just chose a few.

Michele really gets into each and every holiday. It is always fun to say what she has up her sleeve.
Trinity was absolutely fascinated with Bethany's doll.

Felicity face just lights up when she smiles. I have rarely seen her without a grin.

Journey is so much fun. She has learned to clap and is the fastest crawler. There is no stopping her, now!

Michele reading Justice and Bethany a bedtime story, Yertle the Turtle by Dr. Seuss.

Hailey really enjoyed playing with the girls on the floor.

Journey just loved Keagan. Spit and all he got a kick out of her ability to do raspberries.

A picnic lunch at a park located across the street from Brian and Michele's new house which is being renovated by Brian.

A little game of soccer with Hailey and Keagan.
Thank you so very much Justice for inviting us over for a sleepover. We had a lot of fun! We look forward to seeing you again in a few weeks at your sister's 1st Birthday party.

Spring Open House!

Last night the kids and I attended the F.C.S. Spring Open House. Brian had to work, so Hailey & Keagan took a sneak peak into the classrooms on Monday afternoon while the janitor was cleaning. Thank you PaPa Jim, Grandma Marilyn and Grandpa & Nana Warta for sharing the evening with us. We ALWAYS enjoy your company!

Keagan showing Grandpa & Nana Warta all his Pioneer projects.

In fourth grade each student is given a family assignment to construct a California mission of their choice. Hailey chose the Mission of Santa Cruz. This project was a labor of love. We all learned a lot about perseverance and patience.

Keagan learned how to hand stitch a quilt block just like the pioneers! Bethany and I enjoyed helping Keagan's classmates through this 2-day process. Bethany was a little trooper hanging-out in the classroom for 2 hrs. each day. She acted as though she too was in "Big-Girl" school.

Great job, Hailey and Keagan! Dad and Mom are so very proud of both of you for your hard work and diligence!
