It is a...

Frogs & Snails & Big Fish Tails...

That's what our #4 is made of.

This is the first image that popped up on the screen. There is no mistaking this anatomy!

Brian and I thought it would be fun to share the news with the kids in a very memorable way. Since Friday is pizza night at our house we asked Papa Murphy's to spell the word "BOY" using the pepperonis.

The "BIG" kids spelling out the letters to Bethany, who said, "I just KNEW it was going to be a boy!".

Before anyone saw the pizza, we gave Keagan his very special baseball and asked him to please put it away in his room. As soon as he saw the "It's A Boy!" sticker he looked at Bethany and said, "Why did you put this on my baseball?" He had not read what it said. Once he figured it out he was so excited!

Ashley Jakowski is over for the night, so she got to be a part of our very exciting news.

Fun times and GREAT memories!

1st Ellis Lake Fishing Derby!

Keagan worked hard in school and at home all week to earn a sleepover with a friend on Friday. He chose to invite his friend Ty. This was Ty's first time over to our house and I couldn't have asked for a better sleepover. The boys had so much fun exploring the property until well past dark that they turned down a trip to Yo-Yo Yogurt. They were both fast asleep withing 10 minutes of being tucked in, but the fun didn't stop there. Ty's dad invited Brian and Keagan to join them at Ellis Lake for the Annual Fishing Derby. Brian got off of work an hour early to take the boys. After meeting up with Ty's dad, the boys connected with another boy from school. The three boys enjoyed fishing the morning away while the dads got to know each other better. At home, the girls enjoyed some crafts with mom. What a GREAT way to spend a Saturday!
Keagan, Ty, and Luke talking about their strategy to catch a REALLY BIG fish!

Doing what boys loved to do!

School friend, Luke Afato

Classmate, Ty Morrison(grandson of band teacher, Mr. Wisner)

Showing off their fish-Keagan caught 3 and Ty caught 2 small fish.

These two were absolutely hilarious to listen to from inside the house. Brian said, "Just give him some time. All little boys have to cut open their catch to look at what's inside. It is good for him to learn the parts of a fish." I agreed, but I could not stop laughing at Bethany. Keagan was very intense in his work and did not seem to mind Bethany looking over his shoulder. Bethany, on the other hand, was saying things like, "Ewwh! Yuck! The inside is VERY YUCKY!". The more she squirmed at what Keagan was doing the prouder he became. I have so many fond memories like this with my brother.

1st day of Preschool!

Our little girl started preschool on Tuesday. Mom sure is going to miss her company on Tues. & Thurs. mornings. Bethany, on the other hand, is so excited about going to school! She is even more excited about having Cousin Landon in her class.

"Mommy went to this preschool when she was 4, too."

"I am so excited about school!"

Landon is soaking it all in. Bethany, on the other hand, is not quite sure now that she is actually there.
After school was a totally different story. She turned into quite the shatter box...for the rest of the day! She could not stop talking about school. At dinner time her feelings were hurt when the "Big" kids started "talking about their school while she was sharing about her school". It was cute and heartbreaking at the same time.
Thanks Grandpa Loren, Grandma Kathy & Auntie Kate for bring me the yummy cupcakes on my very first day of school! They were so very yummy!
Our favorite story:
"Oh, and mom the toilets are SO very tiny! I went to use the bathroom and I thought to myself, 'This is going to be embarrassing!' They don't have any doors and there isn't even any toilet paper!"
